Urban Grey Shadow 2
« on: March 15, 2019, 01:26:25 PM »
Long time 1911 shooter here. Decided to try the CZ world. Had never handled one, just because they weren?t carried at our local gun stores. Our new gun club open and they had a couple of the Shadow 2s on display there. Once I handled it, I bought it on the spot. I took my middle daughter to the range today, 450 flawless rounds through it. Accurate as hell. A bit of a heavy beast, but sweet shooter.

This is going to cost me.

I totally understand.  I had heard so much about it that I bought one from Cajun Gun Works and had them perform their magic before shipping it to me.  It is smooth as butter and extremely accurate with no recoil.  You are right, it is a heavy beast lol.

Yep, now I am eyeing a Cajun Gunworks specimen. Told you it was going to cost me.

Oh, I know.  I now have a ShadowLine Compact and a PCR.  The Shadowline is from CZ Custom and the PCR went to Cajun Gun Works.  It is a costly addiction lol.

I'm with you brother, been shooting 1911's forever, bought a Shadow 2 a few weeks ago. It's such a pleasure to shoot. It is stock, I've thought about having it customized but for the cost it's hard to believe how much it could be improved. May do it someday.

Got my Urban Grey S2 about a month ago.  Did CGW bushing, hammer, sear, firing pin and spring kit.  Broke it down and polished everything.  Now it feels like the one from the custom shop that was in the case In the shop for a lot less $$.  Awesome.  Just put a set of Lok Bogge Palm Swell grips on yesterday and wow!  Really adds contact area and traction.  I was a bit on the fence as I have small to medium hands but they feel great, can't wait to shoot it again.
