Mags loader for 97B
« on: April 06, 2019, 09:41:44 AM »
Wanted to see what mag loaders are being used if any with the 97. My hands aren?t what they once were.   Was thinking about a Uplula....

UpLula is what I use for everything, really saves wear and tear on the thumb, and is faster, especially if you're loading a bunch of different mags.  I have 4 mags for my PCR, and 6 or 7 each for my 97 BD and Sig P220, and all three usually go to the range with me, and I usually cycle through all of them more than once.  Without the UpLula, my thumb would probably be hamburger by the time I was done.  Have had mine for about 3 years, and have used if for a bunch of different pistols.  Only issue, some mags require hand loading the last round, not enough room left for the last shell and the "finger".  Later.

Plus another for Uplula and one cut down to work with Kadet .22 mags,
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

Uplula here, too.  Don't be afraid to buy the neon colored ones...they are sooo much easier to find in a range bag than the black ones.

Hiya Piddle and thx for your thread. Do recall your post the other day bout making the 97 have ambi decockers, hope the cost didn't dampen the zeal.
Uplula here, and appreciate the idea of neon to find in the range bag. I have a gallon zip lock that gets set on my range table with each outing, having early dementia can't use extra brain power so its all there. Splash targets, shooting googles, gloves, extra ear protection, uplula, another sandwich baggie with a small metal tooth pick tool, for Kadet days, small screwdriver for those grips screws, couple inch piece of green rod/bic lighter, pocket knife for FO replacement, sharpie, two wood cloths pins, few eye glass wipes. Dang I wandered off again.
Can you tube mag loaders and get non uplula ideas. Some are creative but not range practical, fun to see what folks can dream up tho. Be well.

The ETC Cam Loader is the bomb! At least for the 75 series 9mm mags they work great. Haven't heard about anyone using them with the 97.

UpLula here also for almost all, except for the CZ 83 which the loader tended to spread the magazine lips.  Single stack 1911 mags still get loaded with the thumb.

I use my modified Uplula for .22 on my 83 and my Kadet mags as sell as for .32 colt.

Did you grind off a few thousandths on each side of the tongue?  I bought one of these from an EBay seller and while it works, it doesn't work as well as the UpLula.

Lots more than a few.  Should be a sticky out there on exactly how to do it. Or Den sells them here on the site.
