This went well.  Video below is of the first 20 rounds of timed fire with the Kadet since February.  The SAO 75B trigger is...uh...different from the striker guns, surprise, surprise.  But, after a few rounds, my trigger finger was back.  Well kinda.  I couldn't shoot 97's consistently after 20 rounds, but I think I will shoot the gun well this week if I get to continue my  steel gun recovery effort.  Here is a short video.

I guess what I concluded from this is that a break in practice from a particular firearm is not particularly devastating, if one has spent a lot of time with the pistol in the past.  Also, learning a striker trigger won't prevent you from shooting your hammer guns well any more than learning to drive two cars (or trucks) hurts your skills with one.  I think it is more difficult to differentiate the trigger pull and feel of two pistols that are very similar, like the 75B Kadet and the 97B"E", than it is to separate the feel of a polymer gun (and Sugru) from the steel ones.

Hiya Joe and thx for sharing. And think its good to focus on a particular platform especially with the frequency to have to navigate your competition shooting events. And given some time all the platforms get there day in the sun. I think you do just fine moving back and forth platforms. And as an old guy I have needed your inspiration some days to get off my duff and to the range,so thanks. Be well.

Thanks for sharing Joe.  I am getting my Kadet next week and thinking about dedicating my CZ 75 .40SW for the setup.  .22LR is a lot cheaper to shoot than .40SW  ;D

Thanks, gentlemen.

I have been in and out of town for a few weeks.  Got out this morning with the P-10F, P-10C, and Kadet.  Match in two weeks, hope I can participate, finally, with the Kadet and P-10F.

I shot the centerfire pistols poorly until maybe 50 rounds, then was OK, especially with the P-10C.  I got frustrated with the P-10F and put it up.  Nothing wrong with the gun, just the shooter and maybe the Burris.  Got out the Kadet and struggled with it for 50 rounds, then went to 50 yard slow fire and put 20 of 20 rounds in the black which was an excellent result for today.  So I finished strong, but I need to shoot almost every other day to keep my skill level high.  Easter weekend will interfere a little between now and the club bullseye match, but I should be in good shape in two weeks.

I ordered a Holosun 507C for the P-10F, since I already have the adapter plate and had a few problems with one Burris sight this morning.  Might just be the battery again, but I need one more red dot anyway, so I am going to try the Holosun.  I also need to clean the Kadet.  Well, everything except the frame.

I'll do another video when I can shoot the P-10F well enough to have something to show!

I got the DPP. Kinda wishing I got the Holosun. I think I'd really like the Eotech'ish reticle.
