I'm not a fan of shiny guns either, but at the very least it looks like some of the folks that purchased these were misled into believing they were indeed stainless steel.  I hope CZ steps up and makes it right for these people with peeling finishes.  :-[

I really wanted one of these when they were first announced.  Minus 20 points CZ for deceptive advertising.

I agree but at this point all we can do is 'assume' since they haven't issued any official statement on the matter.  I'm wondering if CZ-USA got duped and CZ-UB didn't have anything to do with it?  In any event, it seems to me that their supply chain was compromised somewhere along the line.  I just can't see CZ throwing-away their brand to defend what looks like a Khyber Pass knockoff...and a bad one at that.

I've been looking around on the web for any kind of update and really haven't found anything definitive.  The only reason I'm interested is that (like many of us) I know a few owners of these pistols and do business with an LGS who sold 24 of them to unwitting customers who thought they were getting a stainless steel P-01.  Can't really blame them, though.  They only went on the description provided by their distributor (Hicks Inc.) and it never occurred to them that the guns wouldn't actually be what they claimed they were.

As the owner of a 91197 I'm very interested in a concrete explanation.  I sent an email to CZ USA this evening and will report back when I hear from them.

Please remember to follow up in this thread, I know myself and several other people are looking for concrete confirmation one way or the other, and things have disappeared from this thread like there is a government conspiracy to keep the people from knowing the truth.  :o

I?d like to here it from the horses mouth myself, I really don?t see how anyone who owns a polished stainless CZ doesn?t think these are plated in some form.  They are a different color and I don?t see how you could do that with just polished stainless.  They are still unique and rare regardless.

Different color than what? The polished stainless 75Bs look like polished chrome and are really hard to even scratch.
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

When you see a 91197, it has a slight yellowish hue to it like you see when something has been chromed/plated.   You do not see that on the polished 75b?s

Stainless 75B's are works of art.  Doesn't matter if they're matte, like mine, brushed or polished, they're the real deal and it shows.  That's why 91197 is such an abomination to the CZ name and reputation.

Picture looks exactly like my nickel plated 75B. My stainless is very silver with no hue to it at all.

No word yet on any special dispensation for those who purchased this pistol under false pretense.

No wonder they look exactly like my Nickel 75B.
