Some eye candy for those hating on this truly beautiful, remarkable firearm. It?s definitely ?shinier? than my stainless 75, without question. But there is no ?yellow? anywhere about it. Makes my polished 75 look dull in comparison. The photos are terrible and don?t do it justice.

Hate on, everyone. I don?t regret my purchase in the slightest. Hell, with all the stink it?s caused, I think I like mine even more.  O0 But I?m just like that, I suppose. And no, I didn?t buy mine to fire it. I have a plain ol? black one for duty. I bought it because I wanted one, and knew it was now or never back in October when they showed up.

I had a chance to buy 3 of the 150 or so when they showed up, and was the first to take delivery here (or anywhere as far as I could tell). I only wish I?d have bought all 3 of them.  ;D

A steel framed P01 can be stripped and nickel plated, but it can never be converted to stainless steel. I would be very unhappy, just my opinion.

I'd tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine.  Pathetic, really.

Have never seen a nickel that shiny, they always have a hue like the 75B previously pictured. I'd keep it if I had purchased one that looked like your pictures but being a safety guy I never even considered one since it was called a P01 which would normally be a decocker.
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

As for anyone who is unhappy with their Polished P01 and actually OWNS one, I?d be happy to give a second one a good home. Feel free to contact me.

You in south-western Ohio give or take? Your story about 2 of 3 P01 shiny pistols seems to line up nicely with my 1 of 3 local pistols from the same shop.....lol

Just curious.

Picked up a polished 75B this week. The finish on the P01, from a smoothness and luster perspective, is far smoother and more ?polished.?

Personally I don?t really care what was done for this limited production piece. Anyone who hasn?t seen one in the flesh?s opinion doesn?t quite seem valid to me either. They are beautiful pistols and fine shooters.

That really isn't the point.  I have seen them in-person and IMHO they look like crap.  The sloppy, electro-penciled rollmarks on the slide are so amazingly bad, they made me wonder how CZ could've allowed their name to be (no pun intended) tarnished by such substandard work.

But that's great you're fine with a manufacturer who intentionally misrepresents an item they're selling and then tells customers that they were 'lucky' to get them when they find-out about it.  I tend to avoid doing business with companies who pull those kinds of shenanigans but it's your money.  I don't care how you spend it.  Not saying that I intend to part with any CZ's I currently own because of this nonsense but, CZ doesn't make anything that I can't replace with something else.

We get it. You don?t like it. Lol. Nobody is asking you to like it, nor did anyone ask how you would spend your hard earned money.

Personally I think they are ?neat? and CZ didn?t   tell me I?m lucky to have it. What is neat though is there are 200 of them. No more, no less. I know if I put it on GB tomorrow I can make $200-300 more than I paid for it...so I guess at present in this soft market, that represents a pretty good buy versus my Wilson EDC X9 where I would lose nearly $1k....or my Dan Wessons where I would lose 1/3.....so if you only spend your $ to lose it...well I won?t tell you how to spend yours either....so you see the circular nature of the argument you keep making. These aren?t Stan Chen 1911s...lol. This is an entry level CZ with a little bling. It?s like a Toyota Camry with the gold badge package....but it?s a fun little Camry (Toyota did not endorse my use of its name or package contents). Cheers!

Couldn?t agree more. 100%. And I too have a polished 75, the P01 makes it look dull by comparison. It?s an absolutely gorgeous weapon, with a beautiful finish. I?m a big fan of mine. It?s very high on my list for overall favorite pistol, behind only my TSO perhaps.

And don?t mind Stojanovich. He just likes saying ?electro-penciled?, ?Khyber Pass?, and getting his underwear in a bunch when a public company makes something he doesn?t 100% agree with or like. That must be exhausting. Otherwise, he?s a good guy, with pretty good taste, and some nice CZ?s.

As for me, I love mine. I?m glad they made them. And glad I have one. To each their own.
Enjoy your polished pair! I know I will mine. Even though I have a pair of Shadows and a 97, I personally wouldn?t mind a Maria Gushchina edition Shadow 2 (high Polished steel frame) and a polished 97 someday.  O0 Me likes the shiny.

Thanks again for missing the point entirely and I'm glad you're OK with a manufacturer who intentionally misrepresents an item they're selling and then tells the customers who bought them because they were 'stainless steel' that they were 'lucky' to get them when they find-out about it and only after the finish started peeling off.

This is a BS response but, yeah, you go right ahead and let them get away with it.

I didn?t miss the point in the least.

Look I can appreciate that you don?t like the ethical/moral implications of these communications between a few customers and CZ. We all know honesty is the best policy.

Having spent time in the executive suite at a couple of major corporations (not as an exec, but as a senior department head) this looks on the surface to be a communications error between CZ USA and it?s parent. I?m not making excuses for them. It?s a small batch of stuff that got lost in the fold somewhere....the hand didn?t know what the arm was doing, etc etc. Now....because the inaccurate labeling was discovered to be what it is...they are probably trying to just wash over it and move on. Keep in mind, this company produces thousands of pistols daily....this is a thing that happened two years ago now. I doubt these customer claims have even escalated beyond tier 2 CS (low level supervisor).

So you ask why I chose not to be mad? Because while CZ isn?t really taking the moral stand we would likely prefer....what are they going to do? Ok they admit they mislabeled some pistols due to crappy internal communication. What now? Refunds? Make a new small batch like the 75B? Come on a forum and make a public apology?  There are 200 of us owners out there that span the spectrum of me (don?t care) to clearly impassioned folks. CZ will never get it right in everyone?s eyes.

Again not an excuse for CZ.

And yet, you're letting them off the hook.  Got it.
