Back in the early 2000's I had several Compacts (steel-framed with safeties) and liked them a lot, but thought they were so close in size and weight to the full-size gun, I didn't think the difference was enough. I always wanted an alloy-framed compact CZ with safety -- and while a few of them made their way to the U.S., they weren't easily acquired.. I see, now, that you can get several of the compact models using the Omega system, and that's probably the way I'd go if I were still looking for that original "dream" gun.
- I don't particularly like an accessory rail on a carry gun, but do use a Streamlight TLR-4 (LASER and light) on the compact Glock 38 I use for home defense -- it stays in a bedside table at night and in a nearby gun safe during the day. I'm also not crazy about decocker models, and only have one at present -- a Sphinx SDP. (I've had a bunch of SIGs over the years, mostly decocker models, and the only SIG I have now is the P-320, which I like a lot.)
All that said, any Omega-equipped alloy-framed CZ with an accessory rail would probably be a good option. I could switch from decocker to safety or vice versa if I chose to.
I have an older P-07 (Duty), and it came to me USED with a very nice trigger (but without the decocker parts, which I never bothered to replace) and this gun seems to do all that I need in the way of a hammer-fired compact pistol. I suspect the newer, updated P-07s are even better.
