New Rami BD
« on: April 26, 2019, 02:02:45 PM »
Well I did it.  I found a new listing yesterday on GA for a new Rami BD at a fair price so I jumped on it.  It should ship today.  Now for the part I hate, the waiting for it to get here!

Thanks!   In the month or so that I've been watching the BD's they seem to sell real fast if they have a fair price.  I've had a few that I missed out on because I hesitated a little too long.  So I jumped on this on as soon as I saw it.  They seem to be a well liked and popular pistol.  Can't wait to get it and take it out to the range.

Yup, it's a great subcompact and the decocker is just plain cool. Will be looking forward to the range review :-)

It arrived today.  Now to order a holster, give it a good clean and lube, and try to get out to the range later this week, weather permitting.........  I can already tell that I need to get the old style trigger and a reach reduction kit from Cajun.

Can't figure out how to add a picture so I added a link to the picture.

Thanks, and congrats on your new rami.  I'm headed to the range this afternoon to see how it does.

Just got back from the range.  I managed to get almost 200 rounds off before the weather closed in and it started raining.  I was very impressed with the rami.  Shot well, handled well, accurate right out of the box.  I shoot Federal American Eagle 147gr FMJ flat nose.  I did have one FTF when the flat nose jammed on the feed ramp.  I had a hard time clearing it.  It was still partly in the mag so I couldn't drop the mag and the slide wouldn't move either.  I finally managed to move the bullet around a little with my finger and clear it.  Other any that I was very happy with the rami.  I did not have a chance to fire any JHP but I'm do that the next time I go out.  I shoot Federal 147gr HST.

The Rami has a steeper feed ramp than CZ75s, so it might have a harder time feeding flat nosed bullets, particularly heavier (longer) bullets.

Just keep looking, you'll find one.  I watched the internet for several months before I found this one.  I let a new one and a used one slip through my fingers by waiting a little too long.  The BD's are rare, at least the ones at reasonable prices, and they go quickly.

I tried to post a picture but haven't been able to figure out how to do it yet.
