Took my new-to-me 75B SA to range today and blasted the middle out of some paper. What a sweet gun.
Sights were a bit small and not real easy to see with 7-decade old eyes, but I expect some lime-green Super Bright will fix that. Had Guuun Grips CZ 75 Grips Thin OPS on and they felt just find (and fit perfectly) at about half the cost of the big-name G10s.
Now I'm wondering what I can do to smooth out the trigger (just before the break it kind of moves the hammer back just a bit and that action is gritty) and I could replace the front sight with an FO if my green paint don't work.
Trigger breaks at about 4 pounds, which is fine by me....I'd only want to take another 1/2 lb off if I did anything. I don't suppose there's a CZ equivalent to the Beretta "D" spring trick for 92s?
I'm really pleased with this and I think I read somewhere that some call it the "poor man's Sig 210." I gather it's only called that after some more work...like a trigger job. Maybe I'll check my local smith out on it. Sending it to CGW for a $450+ upgrade when all I do is play at the range doesn't seem like a good investment. Hell, for that there's a guy local selling a CZ75D Compact (P-01 with the Euro roll mark) and completing the series (I have 75 "transition") seems like a lot more fun.
Any and all suggestions gratefully welcome.
