     Hiya and thx for the thread. And since my three were stolen in a home invasion with a dozen more. If I could only have three of em back......
     A like new blued 6inch Colt python,done by the custom shop at Colt.
     A very well kept Sig p210 early serial number blued and slide action that felt like it ran on glass.
     A Benilli M4 Entry 12 gauge, with a fore grip, this one's been in a police evidence property room since december 2017,and no telling if I ever get it back. Be well.

Interesting that most would prefer a shotgun over a AR.......I'm one of those but I thought I would be in the minority, surprisingly just the opposite.  Pretty much everyone thus far has a semi-auto or revolver.........thought more would have a 22lr on the list so far just a couple, this is a little suprising to me.

Now you've got me really thinking about thinning the herd down to perhaps these:

1.     P10c (light, concealable, accurate, full grip, fun on the range);

2.     Mossberg 500 with field and slug barrels (covers virtually all small game, home defense and slugs will handle any lower 48 large game within 100 yards); and

3.     Ruger 77 .25-06 (Any lower 48 large game, medium size varmints and flat enough to take out gophers at a distance).

There seem to be two themes running through the answers.  The first is firearms for defensive purposes.  The second is firearms primarily as meat getting tools.  Living rurally I?m more in the second group as I?ll generally have a firearm available for varmint control etc.  My three for that purpose are: 6? 686 because of the versatility of the .38/.357 round,  JW Marlin 336 in .30-30, and a Wingmaster 12ga with a 26 or 28? mod choke barrel

If my main purpose is purely defense, my choices are CZ75 BD, Ruger PC carbine in 9mm (common ammo with the CZ, basically a modern .30 M1 carbine), and a 12 ga 870 Special Purpose with a 20 smooth bore deer barrel.

Tie so far for pistols between my Shadow 2/T120/ or SAR K2.

If a fourth were allowed it would be one of my 12 gauges.
