Well decocker assembly arrived quickly from CZ and easily replaced. All working again though I?d love to know how the assembly failed. But CZ customer service did great which is good to know though I doubt I?ll need them often.

On a separate track - is it worth putting a replacement spring in to reduce weight of DA pull. I don?t usually adjust anything from factory but I did once on a revolver and it really made a difference. So any recommendations?

You can go with a 13# hammer spring.  If you get light strikes, move up to 15#.
Usually, if you go with a 13# or lighter, reduced power firing pin spring and FPB spring are recommended.

you can easily loose a couple of pounds of DA pull by changing to a lighter mainspring. The factory spring is 20 lbs (or so). If you are going to switch lighter than 15 lbs, the general recommendation is to use an extended firing pin and reduced power firing pin return spring.

Thanks - I looked briefly on CGW website at the yellow 18# spring and the 15# gold one specify that I also need to change the firing pin spring. I guess a phone call will clear up what I need easily enough! But I think I?ll definitely be reducing that DA pull even if it?s a couple of pounds!

go with the 15# spring and the extended firing pin / reduced power return spring combo. That is the upgrade I did to my P-07 Duty.
