Not a Tutorial but I would assume....

Post pic(s)
List pertinent info on firearm (what is included, rounds fired, modifications if any, etc)
List a price and shipping terms.
Contact info if other than PM

But that is only an assumption on my part

Go to/use rimfirecentral trading post classifieds

The rules and procedures are clearly defined.

It's not hard to do, advertise your pistol, set the price, accept the buyer's offer, and arrange shipment and payment but remember:

The Owners, Administrators and/or Moderators are not liable for any transactions that take place on this forum, all buyers/sellers MUST comply with applicable Federal, state and local statutes for all sales.

The ATF website has the regulations for shipping pistols by private persons, but some states require the outgoing purchase go through an FFL and some do not. Other states have exclusions as to which pistols may be purchased in their jurisdiction, it's  up to you to know which is which.

Successfully sell can vary.

But to add to whats been posted..

 > take CLEAR photos.  A picture is worth a thousand words.  If you bought a used gun, what do you look at?  Same for the photos.

 > give as much info as you can.  are there any issues? any mods?  Who did the work?

 > how to pay, what forms of payment will you accept?  Money order?  Personal check?  What about wait time for check to clear.?

 > how the gun will ship?  Who pays and how much?

 > will the gun ship via your ffl?  Will the receiver FFL receive from non FFL holder?

 > What about face to face if in your state/town/village?  Do you need to do a transfer due to local laws?

 > COMMUNICATION is the key.  It goes BOTH WAYS.  So if you are not clear on your pictures or post, you will get questions.

 > Price can determine if you sell it or not.  Not just the add.  Are you willing to haggle?  Is it Fixed?

You don?t haggle or bid on anything that you sell/buy on RFC.  State your price and that?s it!  Do not negotiate on RFC.

This isn't RFC and haggling is permitted. Auctions are not.
