Can the P10 series slide stop be used a slide release?

My first P10C was a bit stiff so I polished it a bit and it?s been fine since.  My second P10C just got shot a bunch and within a fairly low round count (maybe 500-800) it was fine as well.  Both are smooth enough to be able to auto release the slide if I want to now.

Mine (FDE) works fine as a release.

Mine was pretty stiff when new, after 2500 rds and plenty of break in , it releases fine now.

I have a m&p 9c and it has a slide stop, not slide release. So need to power stroke. The manuel says so.

The p10c is just very stiff. Need to play with it while watching tv.

Yes, the slide release becomes easier with use.
