I will tell you one thing about my P07/P09 that always puts a smile on my face:

On some other forums that are dedicated (or lean strongly towards) the perfect pistols when I explain why I don't like their favorite pistol brand and share pictures of my P07/P09 it seems to upset people that the rear sight is in front of the RMR.  And then, I double down and share pictures of the groups.  That usually gets me an even more upset reply, or three.  When the excuses start coming.

As I posted on another forum the other day, There are reasons we buy CZ's.
I stopped carrying the SIG 556R.  SIG changed models and couple/three times and stopped supporting it with parts.  So, I stopped supporting SIG.  Back to the tried/true AR15 Carbine.

I?ve always preferred a G19 sized gun. I shoot them better. I?ve been issued a 228/229 and a 226. Like the 228/229 sized gun better. Same with G19s and G17 or G34. So when I went looking I bought the 07. LOVE it. I ended up with a CGW?d 09 and traded it away. Didn?t shoot it as well as my 07.

Have you shot a P-01 yet?
That?s the same size as the P-07, but in 75 form.

I have not. Been tempted to buy one a couple times, but haven?t.

So basically I went from having zero CZ pistols to having 5 CZ pistols in less than 2 months. People say that they are addictive, well they ain?t lying.

Ha, I went from zero to 4 CZs in 4 months. Started with  P10c, then bought an OD green P-01 on a whim and the minute I held it I knew I was hooked on the 75 platform. Bought an SP-01 almost immediately for a great price and just recently bought a PCR. I do have a P07 on my list tho. I'm digging the SA/DA world.

I use the Glock platform at work, but I recently sold my two Gen3 Glock 19's and one Gen5 MOS Glock 19.  The Gen3 Glock 19 never really fit my hand and the Gen5 had changes that I never wanted.  So I came back to CZ after a two year break.  I bought two CZ P-07's (LE priced) as an off-duty option -- taking both shooting this Friday to see how they run.

It's funny, I started with a S&W DA/SA auto (S&W Model 459), then we all transitioned to a striker-fired auto. To be honest I never fully trusted the striker-fired platform as I do the DA/SA.

I've read, on other forums, that the P07 and P09 are "over complicated."  Then they recommend a Beretta 92.

I've read, on other forums, that the P07 and P09 are "cheaply made."  Then they recommend a Glock.

Funny how people can justify what they want.

"over complicated"

"cheaply made"

I?m just happy to have buddies that let me shoot their choices.....
so I don?t end up buying the same mistakes. LOL

I haven?t shot a Glock yet that I liked.

But then again, none of my shooting buddies are interested in a Sig P290RS after shooting mine either!  They love my CZs though.

I ended up buying both P09s and P07s.  The P09 came first from a buddy and he was selling a P07 as well.  I didn’t really want the P07 but picked it up anyway.  Turns out that I now carry the P07s more than any other guns.  I’m up to 2 P09s and 3 P07s with a 4th probably coming this year if I can find a deal on an OD green one in 9mm.  Both of my P09s and two of my P07s are in .40.  The platform shoots the .40 round with the same feel as it does a 9mm.

I had a P09 in 9mm for a while but prefer the SP01 Phantom to the P09 for full size 9mm carry.  The P07 has been in my holster for EDC far more than any of my other CZs.

Wanted a full fullsize polymer. Glock was waaay more expensive. CZ looked right. Don't regret at all.

I just love the feel of my P-07's and the way they shoot.

I thought I'd like the P-09 too, but I have to say for a full size I just prefer my SP-01 Tactical. JMHO

So I added Shield Arms +5 extensions on my 15 round P-07/P-10c mags for 20+1 and the P-09 no longer has any capacity advantage.

And they fit comfortably within the USPSA 141mm gauge:

Umm, I think it's safe to say that most DA/SA autoloading pistols are 'overly complicated', at least in their construction. Both the 92 and standard 75 series pistol designs have a lot of parts. Yes, there is some more effort that going into learning those pistols with a decocker or safety catch rather than something like a Glock or revolver. But once you learn your manual of arms to whatever you are using, be it a 92, 75 or P226, handling for those types of guns becomes second nature.

Polymer frames do seem to be a little more 'flimsy looking' than metal frames, at least to me. However, the looks are deceiving.  For polymer framed DA/SA pistols,  I've shot the CZ P-09, Beretta PX4 and the HK P30 and all three performed very similarly to my 92FS and 75B.
