I got bored, so I got creative!

My recently acquired S&W 4006 TSW CHP. The before picture has the etching on the left side of the slide.

I had a blast doing this ,  took about 6 Plus hours.
I had one screw up,  I bent the extractor pin, so I've got another one ordered.

Thanks Tanner, I also had a second go at polishing the internals again, and also clipping the hammer spring about 1/16".
The trigger pull on this thing is fantastic and so darn  smooth you absolutely feel nothing in the trigger pull, right up to the point it breaks like glass.
My po9 has a much lighter trigger pull in pounds , but the smoothness of this trigger absolutely blows it away. And I have done some extensive work to the PO 9 to get it as light and smooth as I can.
I bought this S&W Used, it was previously a California Highway Patrol sidearm. Got it at a fantastic price on Summit gun brokers.

Dremel and Polishing Compound at the end you first must start with a very flat surface and then use 400 grit 600 grit and 1500 grit wet sandpaper and quite a few hundred Strokes on the paper.
A large felt polishing wheel on a professional drill in a vise, then a soft woven cotton  wheel, then hand polish.

Thanks recoilguy, some have already suggested doing the frame also  , but I think it looks just fine the way it is when I buffed  the frame lightly  just to brighten it up it changed it, for the better.
It sure takes a lot of rubbing on a flat surface.

I just have to say this, and please don't get me wrong. I love my CZ but ever since handling this 4006 formerly owned by CHP, it's given me whole different Outlook into what a real trigger should be. OMG it is so dang smooth.
Many of you should seriously look into purchasing one,  an incredible pistol. And the price is right.
Originally selling for between 700 and $900 now going for with very little use $385... it's a no-brainer and a fantastic investment.JMHO YOMV

 and I wanted to say a big thanks to every member that is contributed to my knowledge of pistols.
I took all that knowledge and applied it gently and in some areas aggressively to the new S&W 4006 TSW.
While I had this pistol completely apart for the polishing, I took the time to re polish the internals, and also hit a few areas I noticed were pretty rough. Again the knowledge I learned from here about stoning and polishing has helped me to really transform this new to me S&W. Here's the trigger pull weight of this pistol when I received it and after applying what I have learned here to it.
Before DA #11.6--   SA # 10.9
After-   DA # 8.1--    SA #5.2
As smooth as ice on ice and breaks like glass.👍
And oh by the way, after hearing from all the traditionalists on the S&W forum that suggested don't do this and don't do that and it won't be safe and it won't fire,
 My pistol functions perfectly, so far.
Going with a Leo friend tomorrow and put about three to five hundred rounds through it, I'll post back how it turned out.
