Do you think this [cheap look-alike replacement part on Ebay] is the same stuff as the Talon rubber grips?  They look awfully similar and so I ordered one for 11.95

No.

And Wobbly, you know this how ?

Whoa, partner !! That's not what you asked for. You asked what I think, and this is what I think...

Ebay used to be a place where normal people could have a garage sale and make a few bucks. Then the scammers came in and Ebay had to tighten the regulations so much that normal people couldn't sell anything. Now, 95% of all remaining sellers are scammers or front men for cheap Chinese look-alike products.

Therefore I think you'll get a sub-standard Chinese knock-off that will last just long enough to make it past Ebay's 45 day return period. Then the adhesive or surface treatment will fail, and you'll end up buying the real Talon product in a second purchase. The end result being that in trying to save money, you'll end up spending $12 more than if you'd simply bought to Talon product to begin with.

That's what I think.

Just my opinion but I think it’s best to use a reputable brand even if you have to spend a little more and Talons aren’t that much more than $12.00

I’ve had nothing but success with Talons.
Handleit Grips are good also a little cheaper than Talons. I use Handleit also not because they’re cheaper but because they feel more tacky than Talons. Talons cover more brands though.

STIPPLE THE GRIP.
you can practice this on one of the back straps you don't use, and once you find an angle or a dot size you want, go for it.
I did mine with a soldering iron and a round tip no pattern just kept going around and filling in spaces.
I think it looks good.
I have very clammy sweaty hands anytime of the year that's why I did it.
I wanted a permanent fix. If when you're done and you find it too aggressive just put some 800 grit sandpaper to it a little at a time till it feels right. If it starts wearing down, and not as aggressive as you would like, do it again. you can make yours how you like it. There are actually stippling tips you can put on your soldering iron and make it whatever pattern you like. And if you don't like that pattern you can make it something else.
Here's a pic

I've done the same thing to my po7 po9 and my new Hogue Rubber Grip on my S&W 4006 TSW CHP.
OH, and if you have a soldering iron it's not going to cost you a penny. Just your time. If you don't have a soldering iron you can get one at Ace Hardware. Weller $16 I use the round tip that came with the soldering iron.

Here’s my P10C with the Moss Talon’s almost invisible.

Dang, that looks great sir! And you are right, it's really hard to tell that the grip tape is there. Great color match.

To the OP, I have the rubber Talon grips on both my P07s and my P09. I also have them on several other pistols. I am a very big fan of Talon Grips. If applied correctly, the grips will late a long time, even under heavy use.

BTW - I received an e-mail from Talon Grips, they are having a sale on the 4th of July. I believe that it was $4.00 off each. grip. I am planning on buying several.

I run Talon rubber grips on all of my P07s, P09s and most Glocks.  I don’t run them on my P10C as I kind of like that aggressive feel.  I also don’t run them on a Gen 4 G23 for the same reason but the Gen 4 grip is no where near as nice as the P10C.

I might give the sandpaper texture a try when I get my next P10C.

I like the natural grip texture on the P10C also. I found that polymer tends to slip in my hand somewhat except for the M&P 2.0 but that texture was uncomfortable on bare skin when carrying.

For me the Talons add that tiny bit of thickness to the grip that I like.

The ergonomics of the P10 are the best ergos out there in my opinion. I love holding that gun.

I got the old M&P 9MM 1.0 FS pistol out of the safe the other day to see if what I'd read (and on the internet, too) was true.  I'd read you could replace the slide stop on the 2.0's with a 1.0 slide stop and then the slide would go forward and chamber the top round in the magazine when you inserted it (with authority).  First thing is - not true.  The 1.0 slide will install, but will not even lock the slide back.  Shape of the tab that pops up to catch the slot in the slide is different and the slide stop cannot fit into the 2.0 slide.  The person making that statement didn't mention having the modify either the 1.0 slide stop or the 2.0 slide.

Anyway, sitting there, handling both pistols I realized the 1.0 frame stippling just isn't aggressive enough.  My first thought was to order a set of Talon grips for it.  Then, my second thought was, "Why order a set of Talon grips for something that lives in the safe these days?"  So, I'll have to think about it.  I guess the bright side is they should last a  llllloooonnnnggg time on the 1.0 since it only gets handled once a year or so and only shot once in the last 6 or 7 years.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Pleased with rubber textured Talon Grips feel and durability on my G26 for the past three years, I decided to go with them after a day shooting my new P-10C's aggressive texture.  If I were shooting with a glove, I might make a different decision.  However, on flesh, it's such an improvement!  If you're thinking about trying it, I'd certainly recommend.

Just ordered a set for the P07.  I prefer the rubber vs the sand.

Good folks to deal with too.

I've used the rubber Talon Grips on a few different pistols. They do work well, but ultimately, I wanted a more customized and permanent solution so I had the grips stippled.

You can also use a liquid chalk for longer practice sessions on a warm day the range

Just make sure it doesn't become a crutch and use it judiciously.

I just put a Hogue sleeve on my P-07. Used the one for the Glock 17, #17050. It took some stretching to get it on, but otherwise it's a great fit. This one has the beavertail on it, looks like it was made for the P-07. Adds a fair amount of width to the grip, feels like a Sig now. 8)
