Talon grip?

just checking how many ppl put talon grip on their p07 series?  I have sweating hand, and found sometime doesn't hold the grip the way I want it.    wonder talon grip would be better, the sand type or the rubber type?

I bought a big roll of skateboard tape from Amazon and have it on all my competition guns. Way more aggressive and doesn't need to be replaced for a while

+1 on the skateboard deck tape. It is not a flexible as the talons, but a little heat from a lighter, will loosen it up.

No P07, but I have put the rubber Talon grips on my P09 and P10c.  I'm completely happy with their product and would happily recommend them.  Sand will give you more grip than rubber, but it will ultimately be a matter of preference.

Rubber ones on the P07.  Sand ones on the P09.

I think I like the sand ones better.  As stated in an earlier post, much "grippier."

I've seen some people post that they felt the factory grip surfaces on the P07 were "too rough."

But, as you mentioned, I had a day at the range when I was on the verge of melting and I was sweating to the point where every 2 or 3 rounds I had to re-grip the pistol to get it right in my hand again.  I came home, ordered the grip panels and installed them when they came in.  I went with the sand on the P09 so I could try something different, see which one worked best and "consolidate" as needed.  So far, I haven't had a repeat of the issue so I've not changed anything.

We also put them on the XD's in .45 acp as they tend to move more than even the .40 S&W P07.

All of my guns have Talon "sandpaper" grips on them.  Work great and IF you put them on correctly, they last a long time.

The thing I like about Talons, is that they are easily removable, won't damage the pistol, and, any leftover adhesive from the grips is easily removed with a cotton ball and some rubbing alcohol..

I use the rubber texture Talon Grips on my P07 and P10C and I like the feel and locks into my hands when sweating.



I had the granulated Texture Talon’s on my P320 X Carry and the really lock into the hands nicely but I was getting some rubbing from my holster from them so I went rubber.

Love Talon grips! I have put them on many guns and if I do my part they stay put with 0 issues! The ones on my 07 have been on for over a year now and still perfect!  For the Fashion minded I have another slide (original) that is Cerakoted to FDE and it matches up better ! I bought a 2nd slide to be milled for the RMR and I had that done in Sniper Grey, that's why the miss-match. Pheeew glads that's settled, LOL Anyways love Talon, watch for Sales I bet they will have a 4th of July one coming up, hopefully anyway, I would buy a couple of backups!

Talon grips are outstanding when applied correctly. I would go with the rubber for carry and granular for anything else. I currently do not run them on my carry P07. The main area I think the P07 needs increased traction is the backstrap. Looking for a company that will stipple it right now.

I have the granular Talon grips on my P09 UG/SR and it is awesome. My hand locks into that gun!
