Nickel 97b
« on: June 28, 2019, 10:37:35 PM »
I would drive one hundred miles and I would drive one hundred more. Just to be the man that drove 200 hundred miles to get a 97b.

I just got this nickel 97b today. I think I did okay for $700

Now I need a 2-tone to fall in my lap and I will be set.

Yes. That is an rsr special.  Only 60-70 imported into the United states. I had one and sold. Regret it every time I see one.

Swap uppers for occasional 2 tone.
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

That is fantastic. That is an RSR Special.  I happen to have the RSR Special in all Nickel, the Dual-Tone and Glossy Blue.   All look gorgeous.

Never even knew these existed. Pretty sweet. Even better for the price!

I have the RSR special two-tone and the monotone nickel. They're both outstanding shooters. The two-tone has started to discolor a bit on the front of the grip where my fingers rest which is a bit disappointing, but considering how much I've shot it I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

@Cavalryman I have a satin nickel 85 Combat and I remember a post by the venerable Walt Sherrill suggesting Flitz paste to remove the discoloration. Actually here's his quote "CZ's Satin Nickel is a very durable finish and very low upkeep -- maybe a little Flitz once in a great while when the finish will darken just a little in the areas where your hand is regularly in contact. Flitz cleans THAT up mostly through chemical action -- so there's less abrasion than most polishes."

Beautiful  pistols. Cant wait to bring mine home. It's not the nickle or routine it's just the plain Jane black but I really like it too. Always pictured mine in hard chrome or NP3.
Great score for $700 + gas money

I never realized how much I would like the look of a nickel 97b!  That's a beautiful pistol.

I didn’t know the 97B came in nickel or duo. That all nickel is gorgeous.
