HE507C Gr
« on: July 04, 2019, 10:16:51 PM »
Holosun has just come out with their pistol mounted green dot.  Based on everything I've read about the HS507C (red), this new faster green is going to be my choice once I can get my hands on a P-10C that can handle this optic.

That said, if someone has had a bad experience with the HS507C, I'd appreciate reading it.

As OpticsPlanet is having a 10% 4th of July sale, I decided to purchase.  After calling Holosun, I learned that first supplies will hit vendors in early August, 2019.

Green dot arrived on 8/10.  Holding off judgement until it's mounted, zeroed at 25 yards, and I have a few range days to see how it holds up.  I really do like the three reticle options, though I'm gravitating towards just the dot.  It appears well made.  The switches are quite tiny and work as expected.  So, very optimistic.

I've also been eyeing one of the the HS507C-GR or the HS508T-GR (titanium version w/ green reticle - I don't think it is out yet) as a sight to mount on a back-up carry gun since I currently run an RMR Type 2.  It would be interesting to hear a comparison of the green vs. red reticle in a variety of lighting conditions if you have another pistol red dot to compare it to.  Regardless, I still look forward to hearing about your experience with the green reticle.

I've got one red 507C on a P-10F and really like it so far.  I use the small dot and leave the sight in auto on-off mode, since this is a carry/night stand pistol as well as my plastic bullseye gun.  I have 3 Burris Fast Fire 3 sights that have been fine, no problems at all.  But the switches are difficult and there aren't enough dot intensity settings for me, compared to the Holosun.  If the 507C holds up, I will probably get one for my P-10C as well.  It has a Burris on it right now, with a tall front sight, so I don't leave the Burris turned on.  Not sure if the tight fit from CGW on the P-10C slide for the Burris will allow a swap to the Holosun without some machining, however.

Hope the green Holosun works out.

I have the Holosun 507C Red dot on a Glock 17 and I really like it. I will say that I seem to prefer just the single dot. The 407C is the same sight except it only has the single dot and not the other two choices of "Circle" or "Circle Dot" and is about $70.00 cheaper. I wonder if they are coming out with a Green dot version of the 407C?

The HE507C-GR is that green dot.  PSA is running a deal on these now.  It's a great sight; very happy with mine.

Have the 510 in green on my pcc and works great have the 507 in red on my p09. Both have been ran in 5k run and guns without issue.the 507 went through one with rain, sleet, then hamster sized snow and still able to hit targets. Did put my hand over it as the screen was filling with snow while waiting at a stage. The 510 ran well with an eotech magnifier. Ran it on the dot only as the circle obscurred some of the smaller distant targets. I am happy with holosun and have a rm06 and dual illumination to compare too. For the price they are tough to beat.
