Beretta M9A3

If you have one I would like to hear your thoughts. I'm seriously considering an all black G Model.

Nice gun.I've had my black M9A3 for 6 months now and love it. 2000 rounds and counting with zero failures of any kind. Accuracy is spot on. 
I added a Wilson Combat low profile left side only safety lever to reduce the width of the slide in the back if I ever decide to carry it. Give one a try I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I have a black G model. I picked it up off Gunbroker, i think on New Years Eve, for $655 or so plus shipping. I watch the auctions every now and then and it seems like they are going for between $700 and $750 pretty regularly. It's a fine gun and probably has the best pistol trigger I've ever used (never having shot a true custom pistol). My log shows two failures to feed 124 S&B and I have just over 600 rounds through it. I don't like the vertec grip, too skinny, and the rubber wrap-around seems a bit too big. That's probably my biggest complaint, but of course, that is just how my hands are and not a criticism of the pistol itself. Glad I picked it up.

I do ot own an M9A3, but all reviews I see are very possitive. You really can't go wring with a 92 series Beretta. In that price range though I would look at the Langdon LTT Elite.

I have a green and black "G" version. I've done a basic trigger job, installed an Elite II hammer, and 14 pound hammer spring. Smooth trigger and accurate as I could ask. Running a set of Beretta Aluminum Vertec grips. Up to 3400 rounds with no malfunctions. I had a Tactical Peanut Butter "G" version that stayed stock, ran 6200 rounds through it. I traded it off with some cash for a Wilson Combat Centurion Tactical.

You will really like it. Mine is amazing. The little modifications that are built in really make a difference. I got mine from LTT and had the trigger job done as well. What a dream to shoot!

Mine showed up today. It's wasn't directly from LTT, but she is still a beauty and the trigger feels very nice.
Now I need to get to the range...

Very nice! I have 2 other Beretta 92 handguns with a prett good amount af rounds through them. I was amazed at how smooth the LTT felt brand new out of the box. The slide moves like silk. Enjoy your first range trip!

looks like the A3 has a Vertec style frame?

My 96 Centurion, purchased right when the Brady Infringement passed, and a newer 96A1 are keepers, but have the traditional handles and grips (which indeed are on the large size).

The newer 96A1 is a phenomenal shooter whether 40S&W (165g WWB is great BTW) or when swapping in my 9mm barrel and shooting nearly any weight ammo.  Although my CZs now get more shooting time, its always fun to break out the .40s and appreciate a fantastic trigger reset as stock.  I did replace the hammer spring to the "D" variety in both, a necessary improvement in my opinion.

With the recent acquisition of the model 21A, I now have one more Beretta handgun than CZ.  Will I be able to hold off "big want" for the 92X?  Only time will tell; the desire is not "burning" for now. . .

The A3 is a Vertec frame, the pistol comes with a Hogue rubber grip that has the same profile as the 92FS/M9. My wife finds the 92FS grip too big, she is very comfortable with the Vertec. I shoot both styles well, although I tend to shoot 2 inches low at 15 yards with the Vertec.

I've only owned one Beretta, an 8000 compact. I loved the light recoil of the turning barrel system. Also the accuracy and durability of the chromed barrel.

However, I could never get used to the fat grip for my medium-sized paws nor could I embrace the bass-awkwards slide-mounted safety. I'm used to 1911's, CZ's, Sigs where the safety is a thumb-press downwards on draw. I also tend to ride the safety on my 1911's, so I dreaded the thought of muscle-memory pressing that safety downward and no-go-bang when I needed it most. JMHO
I suppose I could have converted to a 'G' model decocker only, but .........
Traded mine toward another CZ!

But, I suppose if you've trained on, and you're accustomed to Berettas, it's certainly a fine handgun.
