Cleaning 457 22LR

Newbie here. 

Have checked the boards for posts on cleaning a 22LR 457.  CZ FAQ website page states the bore is .21 and to use a .17 or. 20 cal cleaning brush.  The gents in the shop I bought from recommended a  Hoppe's Boresnake.  Stupid me I picked up the first one I saw and it was for a pistol and the weight/string will not reach the end of the muzzle.  The shop is quite a distance from my home (NJ and shops are few and far between) so returning it for exchange is not a good option and I am looking online for a replacement.  What is everyone's experience?  Do I get the .17 cal boresnake or look for a .20 cal brush?

I use the OTIS system for cleaning all of my firearms. They use a coated cable to pull the patch or brush through the bore (breech to muzzle). The rimfire version works great on my 455 Varmint.

Do you use the .17 or .22 on your 455?

The slot tip for holding the OTIS swab is already attached to the cable and is sized for .17-.25 caliber. I use the OTIS .22 brushes designed for limited access chambers (shorter brush).

Folding the patch is a little different than standard slot jags, but makes for a good tight fit all the way around the bore - you can feel it turning in the rifling.

.22 for all of mine. Bore snake/Otis system is great for a quick wipe down before leaving the range but I use a rod and guide for more thorough cleaning. That being said, bore snake has been sufficient for months at a time until accuracy falls off and a proper cleaning is required.
