I'd love to do that to mine but drilling that hole will be nerve racking as hell lol

Absolutely lovely.  I have a couple of pre-B shooters I would like to drill for a full length rod.  I just need to work up the nerve...

Why did you use black bushing instead of chrome one?

Why did you use black bushing instead of chrome one?

Was waiting for that question........the answer is there isn't really a reason, the sights are black and the black bushing really doesn't look bad in line with the sights so I went with it, the front sight and the bushing almost look like one piece.  I get some may do the chrome one and I totally understand that approach too.  ;)

Pics aren't the greatest but they get the point across......as far as drilling the hole for an extended guiderod, its really easy if you have a drill press, portable vise, drill bit and some oil to keep things lubed up while drilling the hole.  I've done several its really not as difficult as folks percieve.  ???

I don't have a drill press which would make it much easier to do. I keep coming back to this post to look at the pic and bleepit I want to do it anyway lol

Hope the pics help you out......was going to mention one other “thing” I did to the gun, I de-horned the serrations on the front outside edges of the trigger guard.   At the Range after about 100 rounds the index finger on my left hand was “feeling” how aggressive the edges of that were.  Took some 500 grit to edges of both sides and then buffed them out. Still plenty of grip but MUCH more comfortable.
