I've never seen on of those in real life.  I go to a lot of gun shows (within 50 to 100 miles of me) and seeing something that looked odd would stand out (odd - short slide on a full sized frame).  It would just stand out/catch my eye.

I wonder why they'd build a pistol like that?  The longer grip/frame is what makes one harder for me to carry concealed, not the longer slide/barrel.

Really the grip is just as long if you have a rubber base plate on a compact magazine. I think of it more for a guy with big hands. These are the only ones that I have seen in real life. I bought the 94 at a local gun shop and my parents bought the 04 new. Took me a while to get them to come off it.

I LOVE the Semi Compact configuration
Bought my (OEM) CZ75 SemiCompact from a shop up in Idaho, then I did the Stainless Frame swap (that I post as the "DuoTone") a few years later:


I like the Large Frame for better recoil control and full HiCap Mags
And I have "snallish" Hands
My DTD is a Witness Semi Compact DuoTone in 10mm:
