Sphinx SDP Compact Detail help!
« on: July 13, 2015, 12:29:47 PM »
Gents,

This is my first time on this forum and I am humbled asking for assistance! I've had my Sphinx for about 6 months now and love everything about it! I was performing routine maintenance (field strip and cleaning) last evening and had finished up when I noticed my decocking lever had worked itself out. I have never detail stripped a Sphinx or CZ before so it was pretty new to me. One thing led to another and now both levers are out and I've got a puzzling look on my face. I've detailed sigs and HK's no problems but this is tricky. I managed this morning to get it back together, however the decock acted as though it did not have tension on the upward motion (it decocked just fine, but the lever just stayed in that position with no tension) I'm assuming I had the spring in the wrong way but have no idea which is the correct configuration.

If someone has detailed a sphinx or a similar CZ it would be greatly appreciated if they would chime in! I'm going to post pictures in a bit of spring and decocker I am referring to. Thanks in advance!

Did you ever get this rectified? Wish I could help, but I've never experienced anything even remotely close to this; and I own over 20 Sigs, 3 CZs and 2 Sphinxs?all DA/SA with decocker.

I realize this is an old post, but there is a small spring in the right side decocker. It can get lost easily. It is a simple sort of a u shaped cylinder spring. It’s lower limb fits into the bottom post on the decocker and the upper limb gets tucked under a frame recess cut.
