I have seen on of the 40th editions at a gun show, but at a more reasonable price.

I could understand that price for the 75th anniversary Operation Anthropoid edition though.

 If I was ever going to drop that kind of money on a handgun I'd have a custom 1911 assembled by one of the premier outfits like Ed Brown or Wilson Combat.
I just could never justify such an amount  spent on a gun which you really can never fire if you want to maintain it's value whether that value is real or imagined.

   I was just about to order a pair to carry in cross draw holsters until the wife reminded me we had $137 in the checking account !
