Primary Machine compensator misalignment
« on: September 12, 2019, 05:15:39 PM »
Just got my slide back from Primary Machine with the Holosun 507c gr optic install, Omen V2, match barrel, Stealth comp and awesome cerakote job.

I shot a couple hundred rounds and noticed the comp has come out of alignment even though they installed it. So I guess I will remove and clean the threads and reinstall and hopefully have better luck. I'm not sure how much LocTite they put on the set screws and am concerned about stripping them. Can anyone tell me what size hex wrench this takes?

My set screws were not loctited very much and came loose easily. The majority of loctite was on the barrel threads and is holding up nicely. It is a small standard wrench, not metric.

Would love some photos.  Considering this myself.

Sorry, I can't figure how to add pictures. However, they do post pics on their Instagram but not sure if they show any that look as good as mine.

You should do it.

Assuming the comp stays put.

He has kind of ventured away from here after some incidents. I sent him a message awhile back and never got a response.

I thought he might answer here. I also emailed them and messaged on Instagram. I wanted to get it done so I could fix it and shoot it this weekend. I ended up just ordering the hex and extra set screws from the websight. Then they answered me on email. That's how I provided the answer here in case anyone else needed it.

It's not a big deal. It's just off a little. I'm still shooting it. I just don't like showing it off with it being crooked.

.050" is not metric, it's standard. ;)

At any rate, super sorry for the inconvenience. Shoot me an email if you have any further issues!

I wouldn't say stupid people.
I love this forum, but there's just some politics and favoritism going on here that I don't agree with. So unfortunately I have dialed back my posting here quite a bit.
