new, need help. Question about lower.
« on: October 07, 2019, 03:07:19 AM »
hi guys i recently sent my lower into shooters element and when upon receiving my pack I noticed it came with the hammer in the up position rubbing right next to the ejector. Is this normal or is something off? There are some noticeable rub marks now on the polymer. Is this normal or am I freaking out?

Not sure how "normal" that is, my hammer will not move into position to clear the polymer, I do not see that as a problem though, that area of the polymer is non-functional.

My guess is the hammer was released with the lower removed, and it pushed its way past

Normal.  Hammer does not go that far forward when the lower is installed.

Both of mine Scorpions have slight rub marks, perfectly normal.  These receiver shells are plastic and not machined parts so you will find some fitment differences due to part tolerances not being as tight as metal parts.  Don't forget how the hammer is sitting the trigger housing, that can cause rub marks.  If hammer has been fitted with a shim that would also pushes it to the left causing rub marks. No biggies.
