Picked Up My 97BD Yesterday

Went to my FFL before work yesterday afternoon, and cleaned her up when I got home. Ready to run a few hundred down range this weekend. Initial impression is that I may look into some palm swell grips. I'll know better after some live fire. It's not uncomfortable with the stock grips, just doesn't fill my hand like I'm used to. Gratz on the new CZ! I changed out the grips on mine to the CZ 97 rubber grips but some palm swells sound like a good option. It is not a bad idea to check the set scerw on the Loaded Chamber Indicator on the top of the slide to make sure it is lock tighted. Many a forum member including my self has had the LCI escape in the first few range outings.

I heard that a lot of 97 owners get rid of the LCI; would it be ok to do so?

When this has come up in the past more knowledgeable folks than my self have suggested leaving it alone. Seeing as how i have not had any issues with my PCR or 97BD i have not messed with removing the LCI's. While i do not see a specific issue that would be caused by the LCI's absence, if it ain't broke don't fix it:)

I don't mind it; my 97B is the only firearm I have that has an LCI, so it makes it somewhat unique in that regard.
