CZ is currently in the process of building a new manufacturing plant in the USA right?

Given how much more popular the P series is compared to the traditional CZ 75 based guns in the US compared to the rest of the world, I am betting this facility will be building the next generation of the P series.

Now how long will they take to tool up and actually start building guns? Your guess is as good as mine.

The new factory will likely focus on the P-series striker fired guns NOT the P-series hammer fired guns. I wouldn't want to make any bets on where the P-07/09 fall in the grand scheme of things at this point.

If they made an optics ready Czp09 with threaded barrel, I'd preorder it!

I think the trend is "optics ready" and I believe that they will offer
an optics ready option for the P07/P09, makes for good business...

Really want a P-09 optic ready , send it to primary machines along with your optic .
they will cut your slide and mount the optic for you.
And cerecote the slide in any color you want.
Mine was done in titanium color. The slide cut this so tight you couldn't fit a hair between the cut and the slide. I'm extremely pleased with their work.

Exactly. And that's why a custom milled optic cut is so superior to any Optics Ready option like CZ or the Glock MOS. So much stronger when the optic pocket fits tightly around the RMR body instead of the RMR just sitting on a plate in open air and secured by 2 tiny screws, and maybe some tiny bosses if you're lucky.

Now that I have my P10S/OR, I’ll go the custom cut route next time.  The optics ready pistol is a great gun for someone that does not know if an optic will work for them, but if you decide that it does, the custom cut is a better solution.  The optics ready guns require the sight to sit higher to make room for the plate and the plates are an not well fit.  It works, and I love my P10S but the P10Cs that I have will get cut if I add an RMR to one of them.

I think with the design of the p09 an optic ready version is unlikely. When you have it milled the optic doesn't sit too high, but a factory 07/09 would have plates to mount the optic and it would sit very high. I don't see them making this, I also don't know of any factory OR hammer guns that have the optic mounted on the slide. I thought there was talk of a shadow 2 version but don't think it ever happened

The Shadow 2 OR is available in Europe. They just arent importing it since it is too heavy for USPSA Carry Optics. What little I have read about it has been very positive.

The Sig 226 and 229 RX are factory hammer guns with slide mounted optics, although they are direct milled.

CZC has their optics plate system which seems to get the dot fairly low even on firing pin block guns, although I dont think they offer it for the P series.

Definitely a factory P series OR gun would need to have the slide machined differently as there would need to be more material to work with at the rear of the slide.
