No factory test targets for models other than the Shadow 2.
« on: October 02, 2019, 09:03:45 PM »
I picked up a new 2019 polished stainless CZ75b today from my FFL.  There was no factory test target in the case.  I contacted the seller, and the email reply said they haven't seen any test targets with the later 2019 CZ models. I know CZ went from 5 test rounds down to 3 late last year with their supplied targets,  based on my purchases. I called CZ USA, but their phones were down, so I sent an email about this, and I'm waiting for a reply.  Just thought I would share this.

Confirmed. I just purchased a new 2019 P-01 Omega Urban Grey yesterday and no test target either.

I guess they quit doing it. Sad.

Neither the Shadow2 Black & Blue or the TSO I purchased in the last few months have had a test target.

And I’m fine with that.  Never understood the purpose.

I haven't received a reply from CZ USA about the email I sent several days ago. I liked having the test target for the additional documentation, kind of like a birth certificate..

I know many like the test targets but I really could not care less about them. They are really nothing more than a quick function test anyway and as long as the gun does what it should I'm satisfied. My CZ's have all proven to be far more accurate than ANY of the test targets ever depicted them.

I think they got tired of handling customer questions/complaints about the targets.

At least test target proved they fired the gun before selling it.
I'm wondering if CZ-USA test firearms anymore before boxing  :-\

Although there was no test target on my 2019 polished stainless 75, the gun was definitely test fired. There was carbon residue in the slide, frame and barrel. I always disassemble a new firearm and give it a quick clean and lube.

I did not check mine. I dipped it into rubbing alcohol directly from the box  :) I hate this machine oil they use to cover the pistol.

... kind of like a birth certificate..

Really, only this is what was nice about having it. And eventually re-sell documentation.

Weren't the test targets computer simulations and not actually fired bullets?

Hi,
I'm brand new here and have my first CZ that I bought yesterday. It is a CZ 75 SP-01 and it came with a test target. I have a Shot Marker electronic target that I use for long range rifle shooting and understand a little about how they work, and I like them. So I tend to trust what was provided and I can read enough of the information to understand. It states that the print is 1:1 scale (actual size).

The test of my pistol was done on 3/19/2018.

Just my 2 cents.

Welcome to the forum.  My 2018 also has a test target, but sometime in 2019 it looks like they stopped including test targets.
