My mags arrived. It appears to me the main difference is the .40 mags have much less bend at the feed lips. Anyone have tips on a clean way to bend the feed lips in?

And before anyone gets all cranky, these will be for range use, not for carry.

the .40S&W is starting down the long road towards obscurity...you also see .40 autos being sold cheap too.  I walked away from the .40S&W six years ago

Just like 10mm, .357 mag and .38 Special disappeared into obscurity when agencies moved away from them.  :)

That was supposed to be tongue in cheek.  .40, .45, .38 Spc and .357 are not going anywhere.  They will be commonly available for decades to come.

38 Spcl and 357Mag will be around forever. 40 and 45ACP will be extinct as soon as the last piece of brass is flung off into the weeds. The difference being... you don't need to bend over and go searching for 38 and 357 brass !!

With the possibility of VA turning into vagiformia when the dims/libs/progs/socialists take over the state legislature in January this was a good opportunity to order some reduced capacity (10 round) magazines for the P07 and P09 .40's from Midway USA.

Those, at least will stay here come July if the standard magazines are made illegal.

At some point I may order some more reduced capacity magazines for the P01 and CZ75 Compact.  The rest of the 9MM CZ's and the Tac Sport .40 will have to leave the state if our controlling side of the legislature decides what commiefornia has isn't restrictive enough and they really want to pay Bloomberg and Soros back for all that out of state money that helped get them elected.  At this point I've got 6 or 7, I think, but would like to have a few more.

I guess I may need to get another single, or maybe a double IWB mag. pouch for the reduced capacity magazines since I'll feel the need to carry more magazines to stay with the same round count I have now.  Just thought of that one.

Hopefully what comes out of all this is little or nothing (not holding my breath) and I can use the reduced capacity mags for range magazines instead of unloading a standard capacity mag. (or two) to use in load testing.

$10 each now beats 3 or 4 times that amount a few months from now.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I think I'd just move to a nice free red state. I certainly wouldn't stick around to catch a case of that vagiformia stuff, sounds like something you get a shot of penicillin for.

Early plans in place for saving the collection/toys.  Will be talking to folks at the end of the month.  Have access to out of state property (land/house, or two belonging to my mom) that I could move to if necessary.  Wife is really not happy either.

But, the mags will make good range mags. if that becomes unnecessary and carry mags for the P07 if things go northeast.  Remember when the phase was "if things go south?"  Well, the south is the place to be these days and the north east states are the ones trying to move to what eastern Europe used to be.

Enough politics, before I get in trouble.  Great deal on magazines one way or the other.  Ten CZ magazines for $107 including shipping and taxes.  Which they'd had the 9MM ten round mags at similar prices as I'd have bought some of those, too.

The northeast has been very gun unfriendly for decades now so nothing new there. You all are losing it in the south. Look what your state just did. I'm really hoping at some point to get out of Ohio and move northwest but at least at this point Ohio is still not a bad place for gun owners.

Indiana is pretty solid too.  Not much changing here...in any way, shape or form.

Just ordered 6 of these, I also recently added some Shield Arms +4 magazine extenders to a few of mine.

I found on the CZ-USA site that you can buy followers for the P-07 9mm & 40 mags. The are the same part for either caliber. I measured the distance between the 9mm feed lips and bent the 40 feed lips to a very close match. Only a few thou difference. The I found I couldn't get 15 rounds in the mag, the 40 spring has one more coil than the 9mm spring. I cut one coil off it, at the top, and bent the top loop to match the loop in the 9mm spring. I could then get 15 rounds in, needing an Uplula for the last round. It has been sitting fully loaded on my work bench for a week now. I've banged on the bench like seating the rounds several times, no rounds have come out. When I get out to shoot sometime (not soon) I'll try it out. Just thought you would like to know.

That’s good info to have.  I run both 9mm and .40 P07s and knowing that I can possibly move the .40 mags into the 9mm family is helpful.
