Finally got the 1911 I wanted!

Ok, so this is not a Dan Wesson I guess. As I understand it they were made in house with DW guns though. Came upon this used from a private seller. He actually had a buyer lined up, so I blew it off. Well buyer fell through and I traded for it. Looks pretty much brand new. Was a safe queen for sure. I was wanting a full size 1911 and was going to settle for Springfield soon. I have been keeping my eye out for one of these locally, but had pretty much given up.

Good old school 1911  8)
I'm wondering why they discontinued production 4 years ago.
And of course that was CZ-USA product, so maybe Czech CZ didn't like it?  :-\
Because of "Limited Production" this guy can be a valued item in someone's collection.

Discontinued mostly due to the Dan Wesson A2 series. The A2 has a better trigger, finish, more accurate, and the Dan Wesson name.

I had also heard they dropped them due to small profit being made on them because the quality of build and price they sold for. I can see this being true. This thing is very quality. Slide to frame fit is tight and everything seems to fit just right. The thumb safety is a little tight, but not worried.

Now, a Dan Wesson is still on my list and that is a Specialist!

Thank you sir for clear answer. I wasn't sure when Dan Wesson joined CZ...
