Long rifle mix
« on: November 05, 2019, 05:13:54 PM »
I've been a fan of CZ rifles for a while now. Mostly 527's the occasional 452 and a single 455. See if I can post a picture at the appropriate size.

david s:

Really nice collection of CZ's!!  I only have one (a 527M .223 carbine) and it is probably my favorite rifle.

Take care,
Bob

Pulled these from the safe to try and figure out what variations of 527 scope rings I have. Ever since I began shooting the CZ 527's (back when Action Arms was importing them) one of the big questions reguarding these rifles has been "what scope rings do I use ?". Things have moved forward since the only reply was "try air-gun rings". By my count I have eight variations by six different manufactures in five heights. Also available is a 1" diameter steel bar that I use when mounting certain ring sets. What I would like to try and do is mount each of the different rear rings (with the recoil lug) all together on the 1" bar and get photos so people can see a direct comparison. The biggest road block to this is me. Being not a very good photographer and basically computer illiterate causes me problems in trying to post photos. So I've been playing trying to figure everything out. The rings I have are all for one inch tube scopes so this will only be so use full. For the record the rings I have available are Burris medium (.550"), Calhoun (.425"), CZ medium (.550"), Leupold medium (.500"), Talley (.525") and three from Warne the medium (.425"), the medium QD (.425") and the high (.535"). This list is missing a few variations from different sources but does cover most of what is currently available. Anyway I hope to get all this figured out and then proceed.

Nice collection! I too have a hard time posting pics. I have four, two 527s, a 557 and a 550. I like the full-length stocks, had one on a 550 once but like a dunce I sold it  :'(. Live and learn.
