I’d love to have the compact but at $1700-$1800 that’s a LOT of money for one gun. But it’s so freakin tasty though.  :o 8)

Comparing to cost of WC EDC X9... fair price for me. Not mentioning other high quality 1911 style handguns.

However I feel discriminated a little.. why I'm able to choose from hundreds of 1911 models which fit right handed shooter, but have only few option for lefties and have to pay $3,000 or more...  :'(
And I'm talking about one small piece only - release button on other side...  :-X

I feel so bad for you that you "have" to spend $3000 for a gun... ::) ;D ;)

No kidding. I was really excited about the EDC X9 when it was announced, but my interest in it died when I found that Wilson couldn't even bother to design a reversible mag catch. The fact that the DWX is actually lefty-friendly, and the fact that it's half the price of the Wilson is awesome - still a pretty expensive gun, but probably worth it.

No ... I don't want and I won't spend $3K :D
So far my Rock Island 1911 works great, however sometimes my thumb is searching for the button  ;D

I'm hoping to have DWX-C... so my dreams end up below $2,000  ::)

I was looking for reversible mag release button for 1911, but all manufacturers dropped this idea few years ago.
Cabot Guns makes 1911 for lefties... but 45ACP only, 10 months waiting time and $5K  :-X - end of the story....
Wilson Combat would be my choice, EDC X9 has perfect ergonomics and mag release button on regular side works quite good... but price is too high.
CZ75 Family seems to be natural path to have 100% left handed handgun which is close to 1911... and now DWX is the ideal option for me. And I'm willing to pay this price for it.

They are nice but super pricey! The first responder discount on the DWX makes it very attractive. I’m also hoping that the glut of TSO’s in .40 and the release of the DWX might drive price of TSO down.

How much is their pricing with their Mil/LE/First responder discount? I already have a TSO and Czechmate so the DWX is a nice addition for competition.

Don’t worry. I’m retired military and already have an account with them. They have a copy of my retired military ID and other pertinent info. However, I heard they revamped their website and have not logged in since 2018.

I guess I have to log in and get a new password.

Thanks anyway.

Funny you should mention that.

I signed up on this forum today to learn more about the DWX. The very first thread I hit was this one.

I see your pistol... I'm thinking... "I've seen that before somewhere". Then I see your username.  ;D

You can probably guess who I am from "that other place".
