Shooting video of my A01-LD
« on: November 12, 2019, 03:21:43 PM »
My good buddy made this video of me shooting my A01-LD.  I wanted to share it because he's been a really good friend during a really tough time in my life.  I was diagnosed with tongue cancer in August and had surgery on September 11 to remove it.  2 days after the surgery I had blood pooling in my neck that almost killed me.  It caused me to pass out and stop breathing.  The hospital staff were able to save my life.  I've recovered enough to go shooting again. I think the support of my family(especially my little brother), prayers and great friends like my buddy really helped me recover super fast.  Also being relatively young and healthy before the surgery helped as well.  I still don't have full strength in my hands yet because donor tissue/blood vessel was taken from my left arm and used for the missing part of my tongue.  But since CZ Custom makes a awesome pistol, I can still relatively shoot it well.  My buddy also has a pretty cool youtube channel with historic/rare firearms.

Anyway, here's his video.

Got my CZ75 magazine grips from CZ Custom today and I also installed a Shadow 2 magazine release.

Saw that you have Mec-Gar mag in the picture. Does the A01-LD come with Mec-Gar mags or did you buy them separately?

They originally come with P-09/P-10F magazines with CZ Custom base pads.  I bought the grips CZ Custom recently released that allow the use of CZ 75 magazines without damaging the mag release.   https://czcustom.com/czc-a01-pistols/czc-a01-parts/a01-grips-for-cz75-mag-black.html

Thing of beauty! Thanks for posting shooting video. Keep wanting to pick up an S2 but might just save for this now that it takes regular 75 mags.

Beautiful pistol, prettier than a 1911! Looks like a dream to shoot..

God bless and may He give you His grace, strength and healing.
