TSO trigger removal
« on: November 13, 2019, 10:50:21 PM »
Quick question: To replace the trigger blade on my TSO, do I have to do a complete take down of the frame, or can I remove the trigger return spring and pin to get at it. I looked on YouTube but couldn't find any trigger removal only videos. Thanks

I'm not sure if you can remove the trigger without pulling the cage on a TSO?

Do yourself a favor and pull the cage.   You'll learn more about the pistol and will have the opportunity to clean the crud out from under it.

A couple of tips:
Remove the main spring first
Get a CGW TS floating trigger pin.
Replace the trigger return spring while in there.
Don't lose the sear cage tension springs at the rear.   There are two.

Good luck!

Hi NMShooter:

Was wondering if you changed the trigger and how removing the OEM trigger pin went?

The OEM trigger pin on my S2 was very easy to remove. I used the CGW starter punch, then moved to a roll pin punch and then installed the flat trigger and floating pin.

Thanks for the reply bvia...

I'll be doing this on my Czechmate at some point and not fond of pounding on anything but it sounds like the CGW kit will take the hassle out of it.

Sound advice right here! I’ve swapped mine a few times and just did the standard disassembly. I think trying to do without removing the cage and it’s more work than it’s worth. The way that you have to put the TRS and trigger bar together with the trigger is too minute detail to do inside of the gun with everything assembled.
