I'm reluctant to post this because I too believe we should find the root cause before corrections are made, but it could be any number of things.
A few years back, when one of my P-series guns was fairly new, I started having feed problems. I hadn't changed anything, including ammo.
I did find that my ammo was kicking up a little burr on the magazine followers, just in front of the brass casing. I figured it was a long shot but I trimmed the burrs with a razor knife and the problem went away.
I keep my guns pretty clean and well lubed (at least I did when they were new) so I was baffled by this.
I know it sounds odd, and I've not heard of anyone else experiencing this, but it sure seemed to be a contributing factor.
Just one more little thing to check.
