Aftermarket chokes for Model 1012
« on: November 24, 2019, 02:42:19 AM »
I have recently purchsed the Model 1012 and was wondering what aftermarket chokes will fit into the barrel on CZ shotguns. I like Briley and Carlson for my Benelli and Remingtons. I dont see that Carlsons or Briley list CZ as one of their chokes. Do any of their chokes fit into the CZ barrels. I have been shooting Black Cloud for waterfowling and would love to find something that works.

Hi! I want to know the same thing. I found these tubes online and they look about right, but I am not going to buy them to find out.

If you have a gun shop in your area that has them in stock, maybe bring your barrel or a CZ tube and compare.

Those will not fit any CZ shotgun. Many CZ models do take a Beretta Mobil style choke, but not the optima style. However, the 1012 does not take those. It's got it's own unique pattern. I'd suggest calling Briley and TruLock as I believe both have plans to, or are already, making chokes in the 1012 pattern.

I'm a fellow 1012 owner. I like it a lot, it's a great gun. There are just not a lot of choke options for it at the moment.

Jebs doesn't sell a choke tube for the CZ1012. I know because I bought one and took it to there place because I live 10 miles from them and they currently don't have anything that will work. The have all the specs from my modified choke tube where they make them but said they didn't have enough demand for them to start mass producing them.

Someone at my club was shooting one last year. We swapped in one of my Carlson Cremator chokes. And worked well. I prefer the Cremator chokes non-ported, and the Briley  x2 non-ported in the Mobil thread pattern. I shoot clays (lead) and bird hunt with mine (steel, ITX10, bismuth, and HTL shot).
