That's a great idea.  I have a Bren 2 Carbine and a Bren 2 5.56 14 inch pistol if you need anything that would help you with those.  I think I'm going to get the 7.9 hbi handguard for the 14 inch when it's back in stock and probably kick myself when something longer comes out....

Thanks for your work.

This is my bren 14 inch with acx 1913 adapter.  A3T 1913 adapter, folding mechanism, 9inch single bend stock extension, and hang down style butt plate.  The weapon fires just fine when stock is folded. I think it matches the gun pretty well.

Im new to this forum.  I do not know how to upload pictures. I tried hosting them from a hosting site but I guess it didn't work.  Let me know how to post them and I will.

It’s currently out of stock which I’m sure a lot of you may know but wanted to post the link so we have quick access to it.

CZ Bren 2 Ms 922r kit: https://shop.cz-usa.com/cz-usa-bren-2-ms-5-56x45-922r-parts-kit-includes-stock.html

I’d recommend adding you’re email so you get a notification when they’re back in stock.

I think I did it right...

[Mods: Now that you have IMGUR, when you want to post the photo, click on it. Several quick links are provided down the RH side. Choose "BBCODE". Paste that code into your post, THEN manually add a width command. Initial: [img]abc...   Edited: [img width=500]abc...  ]

I see HBI introduced a new 10.8 inch rail. Interestingly, in the manual they say the torque on the four mounting screws should be 45 in lbs. That is half of what the 8 inch version originally called for.

I already placed an order for mine! Interesting, honestly didn’t read anything just saw their Instagram post and raced over to their site before they went out if stock. I’ll be sure to give my feed back on my initial thoughts of the rail once I have it installed.

I got mine last night (Wednesday) and installed it. Gotta take some pics and post them when I’m off work. Looks wise I like it and finally I’ve got  some much needed real-estate to set up my Bren how I’ve wanted from the beginning. I do feel like HBI missed an opportunity that could have made this rail perfect. What I mean is that they did a good job adding a gas key extension but I really wish they designed the extension to come apart and drilled a hole on top of the hand guard where the plunger is so I could use a bullet or what ever to take apart the gas system still. Currently you have to remove The handguard to disassemble gas piston. Which makes me worry will my rifle require to be re zerod every time I clean my gas system? Honestly my mind is already thinking about wiping out a drill and making the mods I mentioned my self  ::)

Yikes! That doesn’t exactly inspire confidence...CZ recommends 65 in. lbs., HBI can’t seem to make up their mind on the torque specs, which also secure the barrel, btw.

CZ needs to go back to the original Military 2S model (extended receiver, no detachable “hand guard”) and drop the 2Ms model and its 922r compliance “hand guard” which serves no purpose other than to separate customers from their money.

I wouldn’t say I Completely agree, I mean I wish they still sold the S model because I’d really love to have a mil clone but the Ms model tries to be a rifle that would be more practical on the civilian market which generally are very demanding for firearms that have the ability to be modified by the end user. AR15s have spoiled us to the point where any new rifle is nearly destined to fail unless there is clear aftermarket support or soon to be. I will say the AR15 has drastically benefited from the improvements discovered in the civilian aftermarket. Who knows maybe the Bren Ms will benefit in the same way? That’s best outcome. But I do agree that I wish the S model was still available. It’d be interesting to see which would sell more over time.

Well, if modularity / accessorizing was CZ’s aim with the 2Ms, the military 2S has 8 M-lok slots on the fore end, while the US “commercial” 2Ms has (drum roll) threve....unless you pay $$$ for an aftermarket hand guard. I guess that’s one definition of being more “commercial.”

Actually the 2S seems to be filtering back into the market, which is what I would have bought if given the choice. Hopefully, the 2S will replace the 2Ms going forward, as it’s just a better gun all things considered.

Can’t disagree with you there about the lack of Mlok on the factory handguard. Seemed like little thought went into it. I have seen a couple S models pop up on armslist so if you are ever interested I’d say grab one while they are available. I think there are some changes in the trigger between the S and Ms. over read from others that the S has a pretty mediocre trigger will the Ms is very light and super comparable to my Gisselle SSAE although it’s not as crisp.

Wait, you have to take the handguard off to take the gas piston apart??? So not only do I have to remove my bayonet lug to put the handguard on, I also have to remove the handguard off just to disassemble the piston. What the hell HBI???
