Received my Phantom Friday. Probably one of, if not the nicest non Shadow trigger I've ever felt right out the box. DA just over 9lbs and very smooth, no stacking. SA just over 4lbs and break was quite nice.
If I didn't already have a Pro Kit waiting to go into it, I honestly would probably shoot it as is. But then I don't care for the OEM trigger and the reset could be better so...pro kit it is.

Bruce, how did you handle the RMR milling? Plate?

No. Cool thing about Phantom slides is they can be direct milled because they're so wide in the back.

That's a big plus in favor of the Phantom over the 75's.
If you're going to mill for an RMR or Holosun 507c, would love to see the results.
Will you be adding BUIS?

You didn't happen to weigh it before you milled it did you?

I milled it for an RMR and did a forward Glock dovetail. List of what I've done to it:
- Milled for RMR/SRO/507
- Milled new forward Glock dovetail
- Added front serrations
- milled top window and ball cuts on the top angled portion of the slide
- Installed a CGW 10X bushing after facing the little lip off the front of it
- Flush cut the barrel to the bushing and deep crowned it

Tomorrow it's going to CJ Maven to install the CGW Pro Kit. Barrel is going to nitride next week to be refinished. I'll be sending it to CJ with another SP-01 barrel in it that I had for the sake of function testing.

I've also got a stainless guide rod and 13# spring to put in it once it comes back. And it'll sport a Surefire X300 Ultra 1K lumen weapon light. It'll probably be my new pistol class gun.

Well now that you mention the slide being wide enough to mill without using a plate, I do have an extra dual illumination rmr sitting around unused. Was wanting to put it on a 1911 but didn't want to use the trijicon rear sight plate.

Just catching up on this thread....those were nearly my exact words a while ago in this thread, the feel of the factory trigger pull is really nice :) , the stock trigger itself....not so much  :-\    Glad your progressing with "personalizing" it.....looking forward to the updates!

I don't particularly care for the curved trigger the Phantom has
If I buy one I don't plan on keeping it in there for long.

I don't understand what your saying,  "If..."   ;D    You need to have something like this......I will say, this is the smoothest shooting CZ I've had, which is saying a lot since I've owned many, it's well balanced, comfortable in the hand and just a pleasure to shoot.....like I said above a bit different to work on than the steel 75's but who doesn't like a "little" challenge  ;)

Guardian - what sights do you have on the Phantom? Trying to decide if I want  fiber or tritium.

CJ Maven let me know yesterday that my Phantom was ready to come back to me. He had my pro kit polished/tuned/installed in 2 business days. Absolutely incredible.
Now I'm just waiting on my barrel back from nitride. Will probably be a few weeks.

It will still hang over a bit won't it? I think the slide is 1" wide and the RMR lists as 1.1" wide. I've been looking for a photo but can't find one on the interwebs anywhere.

I would love to pick up another slide and do this for IDPA CO if it looks good. Silly, I know, but if I am spending that much, I do want it to look good too.

Yeah, but it's not bad at all. Hangs over about as much as it does on a Glock slide.

Ended up doing black DLC on the barrel. FINALLY got it back today. Here's a couple quick shots all back together.

Looks like a good RDS setup and very handsome too.
The barrel DLC looks slick. What's finish on slide?
I've always wished CZ would nitride the 75 series barrel and slide like they do on P-07, 09, 10.
