Black Hills remamufactured brass
« on: February 19, 2006, 09:36:08 AM »
The Black Hills remanufactured, blue box, .40 S&W works great in my CZ .40 Compact; no FTF or FTE and the price is affordable as well.  Yesterday, my first 5 shots at 15 feet made a group 0.75 inches- all five shots were touching.  My question is, does Black Hills use different kinds of brass?  So far, everything I've purchased has had either Speer or Federal brass.  My .40 Compact doesn't like WWB; will I need to check the brass before each purchase?

            Thanks in advance,
            Benny

Been a while since I've shot any Black Hills but I've had four or five different headstamps in one box.  Granted it was .45 ACP but you may want to keep an eye on it.  Ultramax is another one that you may have to watch.

Thanks, SLM.  Guess I'll go to Gander Mountain and buy up all they have now in Speer and Federal.
