527 trigger differences
« on: December 12, 2019, 09:30:25 AM »
I know that I have seen this explained somewhere, on this forum or otherwise, but I cant find anything no matter what phrase I search with. I have two 527s, one has a fairly straight trigger (as does my 550) while the other has a much more curved trigger. If I remember correctly, one is an older trigger and the other newer, but I cant remember which? Anyone know?

The more curved trigger is the earlier version and the straighter one is the later style. They changed around 2006 or 2007 somewhere in there. Your 527 rifles should have a date code (97=1997,07=2007, ect.) on the right front of the receiver and possible one on the barrel in about the same location.

Got cha, thanks. Yes, the .223 American shows made in 2000 and the carbine in 2013.
