Tristar / canik p100/120 frame widths
« on: December 22, 2019, 06:56:35 AM »
Does anybody know, or have a micrometer / caliper and can measure the width of the frames? It looks like the clones don't have that step in the frame directly above the grips.
Thanks

I don't have a micrometer but I'm looking at my P100 now and there is a step or cut where the beaver tail is directly above the grip at the rear of the gun where the hammer pivot pin is. It looks 1/8 on either side per measuring tape.

I have a P120 and a micrometer, but I am not too sure where you want the measurement to be taken.

What do you need the info for? If it's for a specific reason just ask that reason and I'm sure you will get a better answer. BTW mine is one of the earlier P100s it's serial number is between 1 and 5 so I'm not sure if they changed anything since then.

If you look at a p01 there is a step directly above the grips.  They made the frame thicker. Im curious if the clones are the thickness of the original 75 or sp01 series

There is no outward step on my P100. It had a cut out as per my pic otherwise it's smooth from the grip to the slide. At least on mine.

That being said I use a stealth gear AWIB for the P01 and it fits perfectly.
