Factory bright nickel 75B?
« on: January 11, 2020, 11:48:39 PM »
Saw at my LGS what was purported to be a factory bright (polished) nickel plate 75B.   :o Does such an animal exist? The frame and slide stamping looked sharp but I never heard of CZ making high finish nickel guns before.

It was very blingy. 8)

Polished stainless most likely. Never made a polished nickel that I know of. Check the other side as stainless has safety on both sides. What kind of pricr?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

Another way to identify stainless is they have matching safety, slide stop, and mag release. On oem nickel models the controls are black.

There were some polished nickel pre-Bs imported by Action Arms many years ago.  I've never seen nor heard of a FACTORY high-gloss nickel CZ-75B or 85B.   (I have a satin nickel 85 Combat, and it's a very durable finish.)

There is a good chance that it's a high-gloss stainless guns (and a response above helps you identify whether that is the case.  Otherwise it may have been nickel-plated by a prior owner.

Controls were shiny as well.

Then that was a polished stainless model, unless a previous owner had it plated and plated the controls as well.

The stainless models also have ambidextrous safeties.

If you see two safeties, that will tell you it is stainless rather than nickel-plated -- 'cause the slide would tell you it's an 85B rather than a 75B.

Otherwise, it's probably a 75B that has been nickel plated by a prior owner.

I concur with the others, most likely polished Stainless. Might be a good investment seeing that stainless models were in the 2019 catalog, but not the 2020.Buy them while you can.

What kind of price tag?  GB has a couple in the $615 area.

Hard to tell the top guns because of blurred photos but the bottom is clearly nickel.
