HI.

First major post. My wife bought a new cz75BOmega several months ago. I can't quite figure out how to post pics yet; but the problem is that after my wife complained, and I experienced, one the of the worst triggers ever. We don't really want a super-duper outshoot the jones's trigger upgrade, just smoothed out a bit. I think I found at least one, if not THE issue. I know a stock 75 B Omega has a DA pull from Hades, but on this one so is the SA pull. Not in weight, but let off.Squeezing the trigger, it fells like the let off, NOPE! bump...trigger keeps creeping, than a letoff? NOPE! Another bump, then BANG! Upon disassembly and inspection, I found the sear has at least a couple of raised ridges where it contacts the hammer, and it is letting off gradually at an anlge, a little bit at a time, from one side to the other and not flat.. Does that make sense? I know how to do stoning to a certian degree, but would the sear need re-case hardening?
Ok..Hope that made sense?
Eric... still working on posting pics

Weird... ???
I've just disassembled my Omega and has found no ridges on sear. Hammer has 3 - cocked, decocked, down.  Sear is nicely squared.

It's a weird sear alright:
I've been comparing my sear to pics of other sears, and it's definitely not right....Hopefully I'll get more time to work on it coming up.

Here is a link on how to post pictures:

https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=84632.0

You have to host them somewhere, the forum doesn't have storage for pictures.  Imgur seems to be the place lately.

I'm not familiar with the Omega sear interface.  Pictures would help.

Cheers,
Toby

Not sure of all your particulars, but I own two of the same guns.
The one built in 2018 shoots amazingly. It has about a half inch creep, but once resistance is felt, it go's bang immediately. Like butter, very sweet!
My 2019 version is more rough. A long S/A pull and crunchy with my snap cap. I haven't shot it yet, but I am selling it anyway.

OK, I posted 2 pictures in the origina post of me holding back the trigger with the hammer fully cocked so the sear face can be seen. (tricky) 2 different types of lighting used.
This pistol is also a 2019.

I'm not sure if sear's polishing is a great idea, but CGW has this part for less than $10... perhaps this is the easiest way to fix it? This is still less expensive than sending the firearm to CZ-USA...

A new sear is one option I'm opting for. The drawback(s) my wife is concerned concerned about, are that after reading the warranty terms, it appears further disassembly will void the warranty.
My wife is opting for just selling'trading it and being rid of it, which I told her we'll lose about $200 or more, (which is the approximate cost of a CGW upgrade kit), but which also seems to void the warranty. There's almost no guarantee what whatever she replaces the CZ with, won't have other bugs needing repair/mods. The gun also shouldn't be placed back on the market, it it really does have a bad sear, that's just BAD MOJO & KARMA!
As soon as the CZ comes back into the 'ROUNDTUIT" loop, I told her she, We, (usually meaning me) ::), should get ahold of CZ, see what they say, and go from there.

You can disassemble the firearm without voiding the warranty. This is regular "cleaning" procedure.
You can still invest with sear from CGW (this is factory sear) and test the firearm. If it's working fine after replacement, problem solved. Otherwise go back to original sear and deal with CZ.

It really hurts when you cannot enjoy new firearm...  :-[

If you are worried about voiding the warranty it sounds like you still have a warranty.

So use it.

Call CZ, get the paperwork (they should be able to e-mail you the return authorization paperwork/barcode labels for ID and shipping back to them) going and send it back.  They don't charge for warranty work.

Some guys here have bought used CZ pistols, had issues and sent them back to CZ and CZ fixed them, no charge.

If you can get hold of them by e-mail you can even e-mail them that pictures showing the screwed up sear engagement surface.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Yeah, she's only had the pistol since May.
I just got off the phone with Rich at CZ, and he said he could either send a sear, OR we could send it TO-FROM on THEIR DIME once the case was reviewed. He told me not add the pics until asked, as sometimes the warranty form doesn't go through.
My wife loves/trusts me, but she believes in letting the experts do their thing, so I filled out the form for her.
Now we wait. As it's SHOT SHOW week, they have a skeleton crew at the moment.... Cue Jeopardy music.....tick-tick-tick.. :D
Eric:)

OH! Rich did say taking it apart to do the sear myself was OK, unless I botched something up.

Looking at that picture again I don't think the hammer contact surface looks very good either. looks rough on the left side in the picture.

They should take care of it, just be sure to let them know (if the hammer surface is crooked as it looks to me) that the hammer and sear appear to have uneven/excessive wear.

While I don't shoot my P09 much it is the most accurate semi-auto center fire pistol I've ever fired.  Made me buy another one in .40 that isn't quite up to part with the 9MM P09.

Your wife's pistol?  I know.  I've never offered to let my wife shoot my P09 9MM.  She shot the .40 and wanted it.  Took some convincing to make her understand it's too big for her to carry all the time.

OK, The pistol is on it's way to Kansas City, on CZs' dime. They never asked for pictures, so, maye they read the forum? It'll be awhile before we see it again. I'll post more then about whtat they said.

From your picture it's easy to see that sear is badly messed up.  The hammer not so much, but it still isn't right.

Please post pics of it when you get it back.  And after she shoots it again, let us know how it went at the range.
