I'm picking up my Shadow 2 the end of this week and already thinking I would like to reduce the DA only pull weight.  I've heard the factory pull will run between 8 and 9 pounds. I am thinking of installing a 13# main spring as I feel comfortable doing this myself.  Any idea what range of DA pull weight I'll end up only making this change?

Thanks!

If I could run an 11.5 hammer spring in my SP-01 tactical and have 100% reliability I would do it. Mine has had the pro-package added with extended firing pin and reduced power FP spring.

With the 11.5 I get occasional light primer strikes with all ammo manufacturers. With Winchester NATO and the red seal primers, it's at least one per mag full.  Everything has been polished to the best of my knowledge.

With 13lb, no light strikes on any ammo. The 11.5 gives a more smooth DA pull, however, just can't sacrifice reliability.

For those who are successfully running an 11.5 hammer spring in a FP Block version with factory ammo, are you using a CGW extended firing pin or the CZC extended firing pin? Have you noticed a reliability difference in either one or does it matter?

All mine are CGW extended firing pins, except for my Bull Shadow which is CZC.  No difference that I can tell.
If I had known how much better being retired is than working I would have done it FIRST.

In my SP-01 Tactical, I've been running a CZC extended fp with CGW reduced power FP spring and CGW 11.5 hammer spring, getting some light strikes.

I may try the CGW extended FP with the above springs and see if there is any difference.

Just received my new Shadow 2 in Urban Gray yesterday and it's a great looking pistol!  I measured the trigger pull and it came in at 9 1/2 pounds double action and 4 pounds single action.  Gonna put 200 rounds through it then check the pull weight again.  If still the same will install a 13 pound main spring to see if I can get the double action weight down.

Guys get the reduce firing pin spring from Europe Cesar shop / Sebo weapon. Works better than Rami or the one I got from cgw.

I put the 13 lb spring in my Shadow II. It was the only modification. I have about 600 rounds through it since the change. I have had no malfunctions.

Th DA trigger pull is to heavy to measure with my trigger pull gage. The SA pull was running between 3.5 and 4 before the 13 lb spring. With the spring it is pretty consistent at 3.5 lb. The DA pull does seems lighter but I cannot tell by how much.

Just yesterday I installed a Cajun Gun Works 13 pound hammer spring in my CZ 75B High Polish model and boy did it make a difference.  As it came from the factory the double action was 10 1/2 pounds and the single action was a bit over 6 pounds.  After the installation of the 13# spring double action was 8 1/2 pounds and single action was a little under 5 pounds.  I also purchased from CGW a new firing pin spring however I'm going to try things out with just the hammer spring to see if I have any reliability problems.  Great product from CGW!

Well I did have some light strikes resulting in "no bang" today.  I shot 100 of my reloads - 115 grain Berrys plated bullet, 4.2 grains of Bullseye and CCI primers.  In the first 30 rounds I experienced 4 light strikes then good for another 50 rounds then another light strike.  I followed that with another 20 rounds all good.  I'm thinking I probably need to install the reduced power firing spring I ordered with my 13 pound spring.  Good idea?

I run the 13# CGW spring in all my CZ’s and clones. Never had a problem with any brand of ammo, commercial or NATO/ mil. spec, extended or factory firing pin.

Just tried running the 13# spring in my stock p01. Really wanted it to work since the da is atrocious. Shot 50 rounds of wolf performance and got 4 failures to fire. All went off with a second hit. Seems weird though cause I ejected the rounds that failed to fire to look at the primers, and there wasn’t even a mark on them. Spent brass indents looks very similar to the stock spring.

Please look two posts up by MKD.  My experience is the same.  An extended firing pin needs to be installed at the same time for reliable function.  I put a 13# spring in my P-01 and PCR along with an extended firing pin with a CZ 2075 RAMI firing pin spring.  No issues and I use CCI primers exclusively.

Good luck
