CZ-550 FS ?

This is a question to all who have full stock rifles. How far does the muzzle protrude from the end cap? All that I have looked at protruded about 1/8th inch except mine. On mine, made in 1998, the bottom of the muzzle is slightly behind the end cap by about .017". It certainly hasn't affected accuracy as it is very accurate but, I've never seen another one like this.

I wish I could give you a more definite answer. But the thing is I sold my 550FS some years back (and yes I regret it) but I think the muzzle was flush with the end, did not protrude. But I may be wrong.

I have a ‘98 also. The muzzle is basically flush with the cap. I don’t have a good picture of the muzzle and it’s at the back of the safe in a sock, but it feels just proud of the cap. Not recessed but not sticking out. I’ll try and get it out this weekend and get a picture. Might just be how the stock was finished. Is your stock a hog back with a check rest?

Yes my stock is hog back with a cheek rest. I will see if I can get a good pic of mine.

Yes they are very similar so maybe that was the pattern after the ZKK. I had the hood off for shooting with the irons but, after the photograph I put it back on. A strange thing is my hood is like the old Brno hoods instead of the CZ style.

On the 550 FS 30-06 I received yesterday sticks out maybe 1/8 or a bit less
