You might want to contact CZ Custom to see if they can help you.

If I were looking for a 357 Sig barrel or pistol, they would be my first call.

Good Luck

Why ?

There's a reason 357Sig is hard to find. You'll simply pay double or triple the price for ammo, and it's no more effective than 9x19 Luger. It's a real PIA to reload too, mainly because the brass has a very short life.

If you simply want more velocity, then a much better choice would be 38Super or 9x21.... cartridges that are easy to reload and typically use ALL the same components as your 9mm Luger.

Yeah, I may consider a tanfo in 38 super or try a 38sc. I have a lot of 357 sig ammo and at least a little while ago I could easily find more commonly than 38 and wouldn’t have to go to the larger frame.

I am a big fan of 357 SIG and have several handguns and a Just Right Carbine chambered for it...However I hate to say that I do, mostly, agree with your post. Here is a link to an article in which the author is very fair in his evaluation of the 357 SIG.

https://gunnewsdaily.com/9mm-vs-357-sig/

Personally I like it for several reasons, one being that it is relatively unique. I like things that are different, however I shoot 9 & .45 FAR more than I shoot my 357 SIGs. However, again... I would not allow the negatives of the 357 SIG stop me from getting one.

If you need to purchase a long-stroke pistol, I'd rather have a 1911. They are easier to find used/buy new, have easier caliber conversions, and have far more after market parts and tools available. One trip to Brownels will show you that. And every local gunsmith knows how to work on them.

New, the Rock Island guns are solid and respectable. And there's always plenty of used Dan Wessons, Kimbers, and that class available. Resale is going to be better too.

I used to be a big fan of the .357sig.

But with the advent of some new 9mm ammo, I am over it.

https://www.underwoodammo.com/collections/handgun-ammo/products/9mm-luger-p-65-grain-xtreme-defender?variant=18785699004473

I will see if they took pictures, but some friends of mine shot some hogs with the above ammo out of pistols and also a AR 15 in 9mm with 10.5 barrel. They were very impressed and out of the AR they got 1850FPS.

I am waiting until later in the year when a change in making the bullets will drop the price, then I will stock up.

So I am over the .357sig bug
