Definitely nice to see these optics are getting smaller...any word on whether or not Aimpoint or Trijicon is planning to make something with a similar footprint?
There was a rumor last year Vortex was going to come out with a new pistol optic. No idea if it was just rumor or maybe it got delayed by covid-19. Either way it wasn't at shot this year.

Aimpoint developed the Acro P1 and its been a huge disappointment. Pathetic battery life and didn't do well on the drop test during Sage Dynamics review. People are staying away in droves. There was supposed to be a cheaper version called the C1 (similar to the T2 vs H2) but I think they went back to the drawing board.

Agreed, it is humongous and a step in the wrong direction imo. People want tiny and rugged. I'd even be OK with a design that really didn't have much in the way of adjustment as long as it were rugged.

I regularly see people complaining about the "small window" of the RMR vs. other, less robust sights.  I also see people asking which miniature red dot sight has the biggest window.

The window is only necessary to display the DOT.  Nothing else.  If the window bothers you (size, color/tint, shape) then you're doing it wrong.

What you should "see" is the dot on the target where you want the bullets to impact.  Noticing, being aware of anything else to do with the sight is taking away from the whole idea of the sight.

I can tell you, absolutely, that when I raise the P07 up to put the dot on the target what I notice is where the dot is located on the target.  Not what color it is, what size it is, what the window looks like, what size the window is, etc., etc., etc.

Taking time to notice the rest is taking time away from putting the bullets where you want them to go.  Okay, I guess, for plinking, or some types of competition.

And, if they (Holosun and the guys that buy/use them) first prove them to be reliable I will definitely have one on my black P01 Omega at some point.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

The 507K's are just beginning to ship, hopefully with the 407K's shortly behind in August.

Got yours yet, Vinny?  Mine was ordered back in March, OP now predicts it will ship mid-/September.   :-\

update: The order status has changed, with expected delivery going from September to Unknown.   :(

I read on another forum that the 507K has been discontinued by Holosun. A new 507K-X2 is expected to ship in October with a different button configuration. The change appears to be related to a lawsuit from Trijicon. No wonder they’ve been so scarce!

I absolutely love my 507k.  Have it on a 365XL.

Canceled OP order after 5 months waiting, and got from Midway shipped same day!
I had my SIG P365 short slide milled by Fabricated Arms between the stock irons and combined it with a P365XL lower to make a P365-X
I'm very impressed with the HS 407K quality and features, and it's glass lens produces a very sharp 6moa dot. Very pleased the combo fit my Vedder Light-draw holster without alteration. I believe this will be an excellent option for milling and direct mount without a plate on the narrow CZ-75 slides, especially the compacts. The only question is whether the stock sights will co-witness or will taller sights be required?

That looks great Stuart! No mounting plate required with the 407K/507K!
Does the optic sit low enough for the stock front & rear irons to lower 1/3 co-witness??

Is that roughly the same width as the compact slide?

the 507K has a small notch on the back, and by which it is actually quite good when behind the gun. I have matched to a 5.5mm tall front for proper impact. so a normal sight is perfect.
I will try and post a photo tomorrow.
