Range report-CZ75 Comp with light spring
« on: February 05, 2020, 03:29:36 PM »
My order from Wolff Gunsprings arrived yesterday, with my 14 lb recoil spring for my 75 Compact. Installed the spring and went to the range today. shot 100 rounds of 115 gr Magtech, all of which were flawless. No FTE, no FTF no nuttin. Now I can easily line up the hashmarks for assembly and disassembly, rack the slide to chamber a round, and check if there is one in the pipe. This is such a pleasure over the stock 16 lb spring. What a joy!

Took my CZ 75 to the range again for the second time with the 14 lb recoil spring installed, and this time, shooting 115 S&B, again it ran great, no failures. This is a round spring not like the flat wire one the gun came with. Think I'll use this one until it wears and then buy the DPM model.

Great ! Good to know that Wolff works fine.
Do you have any info about life time for this spring? I love flat springs, they don't wear out quick.

Jurek- based on my experience with Sig's, I'm assuming about 5,000 rounds. The spring was only around $ 8.00, so no biggie.

Thx for update. Whenever you have a chance, could you please measure the length of that spring? Nobody has flat #14 for CZ75 Compact, so I'll try to adopt something from another firearm.
