New stock for EVO SBR?
« on: February 07, 2020, 08:33:41 PM »
I'm considering changing the OEM folding stock on my EVO SBR out for an ACR stock or the Magpul UBR Gen 2. Is anyone out there running either of these? If so, please share pros and cons of your set up. Photos would also be helpful. Trying to decide whether to go with a fixed stock or another folder.

I have a Zhukov on my SBR. I like the higher cheekweld. I have been jonesin over the ACR stock though. Not sure how the ubr would look or work though on a scorpion. Love my ubr’s on my ARs but again not sure how I’d would go with the scorp.

Like you, I have the OEM Folding stock.  I like having the ability of a folding stock on my SBR for transporting purposes in the case I use.  As you know the OEM folding stock locks up tight when extended and is awesome stock.

I have a tailhook on an OEM folder and absolutely love it. Would like a little more length but with a stamp that is fixed by using the actual stock with adjustments.

+1 for the OEM stock. I like it that the magnet holds it to the Side of the receiver rather than a latch of some type.

I’d like to see a scorpion with the Sig MCX stock installed to see what it looks like.

Just switched from OEM with tailhook to the ACR. I like it a lot so far. I'll change sight out to a Holosun 507 when the riser shows up in the mail.

Thanks for the pic BPrice. That stock will fold but not be held in a folded position, correct?

I just ordered the ACR Stock this morning from Kinetic Development. My brother works in the machining business and says he has an idea of how to incorporate a magnetic latch on the stock that will not change the aesthetics of the stock. It depends on how flat it lays to the upper receiver. Does it lay tight when folded? I'll post pics when he is done. Now I have to wait for the adapters to become available.....
